Services

In addition to delivering and assessing nationally recognised competencies, Lennon Training is called upon to consult in matters of training and assessment strategies and are heavily involved in the Recognition of Skills process.

Review of Site Specific Inductions

So as to not double up on induction material that is delivered in the Generic we have on a number of occasions reviewed and re-presented site specific inductions.  Generally the process is as follows:

  1. Review the material and map against the Generic Coal Induction

  2. Develop assessment (utilising existing assessment where feasible) for the induction and have the assessment signed off

  3. Trial the assessment on selected site people and adjust as required

  4. Prepare the instruction material necessary to support the questions.  This involves print material, powerpoints, aids.  Most of this material exists in some form on site.

  5. Deliver the package to a select group, review, adjust and hand over to the Company.

Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

With the cost of training, it is imperative that people train for the needs of the business and not for sake of training quotas.  We analyse the business needs, ascertain the existing skills and schedule training required to meet those needs.

Recognition of Skills (ROS)

It is essential that if people have skills, they should be recognised rather than made to jump through the hoops again.  This process involves identifying the units of competency within a National Standard and with a supervisor of the person or crews, each individual's work history would be reviewed to whether there is sufficient evidence to deem competent.
